Collaborated with Trek Development to propose two multi-family developments in Pittsburgh’s North Side and East Liberty neighborhoods. As the leader in for-profit development of affordable housing across the city, Trek Development group has set the standard for developing mulit-family projects with a positive and holistic mission.
GARDEN THEATER APARTMENTS
The proposal reinvents the historic Garden Theater landmark into a hub of activity at the corner of West North Avenue and Federal Street that honors the area’s storied past and amplifies the continued revitalization of this North Side community. roposing 62 units of new construction with 10 units of rehabilitation in the adjacent Morton House, the design utilizes the existing theater as the new residential entry, a gradient of contextual facades to transitional contemporary, as well as a material palette that draws from the surrounding neighborhood context.
BEATTY & MIGNONETTE DEVELOPMENT
Proposal that transforms two surface parking lots into a commercial and residential mixed-use, mixed-income development that continues to spur economic growth and promote inclusivity and community in the East Liberty neighborhood. With 106 residential units, structured parking on-site and nearly 15,000 gsf of community-focuse retail/commercial space, the development strives to be a transformative project for the entire East Liberty community.
